Amethyst and Tsavorite Pendant
This custom made 18k white gold pendant features a lively precision cut purple Amethyst from Arizona, accented by bright white diamonds and delicious green Tsavorite garnets. Mined the old fashioned way using hand tools, this American Amethyst was uncovered from the ground after the miners trekked 15 kilometers up rugged mountain paths to reach the mine, where they dig in timber braced tunnels. The entire mine's supply is currently sold to China so this American Amethyst has become impossible to source for custom cutting but we were lucky enough to run across some in an old collection.
Morganite and Diamond Pendant

Princess Diamond Pendant

Watch Face Pendant
'I was born in 1901 and I'd like to tell you a little story about my life.... For many happy years I was cherished by a lovely lady and we spent much time together, in fact we went everywhere together. We were perfect for each other. Times changed though, and things got difficult, we had to part ways, and I ended up with a gentleman jeweller living in Tasmania. Many of my friends from that time were treated as some would term today as "unfairly". Our contribution to society and history was not valued highly at all. My only saving grace was that many people thought I had a pretty face, which made me feel at least a bit useful in a way. Unfortunately, over time, the gentleman jeweller changed his mind, and eventually saw no value in keeping me around as part of his family. I was sent away to be sold. Now I will never be the same. My body is broken and I just can't do what I could when I was younger, but still, I have my pretty face... I have a few scars from over the years, but when one gets to my age what does one expect?' Delicately hand painted enamel on copper dial from approx early 1900's. Came from a ladies silver pocket watch which was kept for spare parts while unfortunately the body was melted down for scrap to be sold as bullion. This 'face' attracted my attention amongst a box of old watch bits whilst I was in Tasmania last year. I felt it just wanted to be loved again, and I did indeed fall in love straight away! After showing this dial to a group of enthusiastic watchmakers, to my delight, part of her story was revealed! I wanted to build a beautiful body for this face, echoing its past, but adding something special too. I decided to use some old cut diamonds, as the faceting style of these were commonly found in the 1900's and felt they fitted perfectly with the story. The majority of this pendant is made using 18k yellow gold, but with the addition of a domed and polished sterling silver backing which is reminiscent of the case that would have held the watch originally. Of course all made by hand, by me, with no cast parts at all.
